HOW TO APPLY

Applying to study with Sunshine College of Management is an easy process.

The steps are detailed below:

  1. Ensure that before you start your application have with you the following documents:
    • a certified copy of your passport
    • a certified copy of your academic records (if any)
    • evidence of English language proficiency
    • a passport size portrait photographs (a photo can also be taken when you attend the campus)
    • a copy of your work and education history
    • Documents not in English should be provided with a certified translation
    • Ensure that you meet the entry requirements for the course you wish to enrol into
  2. Complete the Application Form
  3. Letter of offer and accepting your offer of enrolmentIf your application is successful, we will send you a Letter of Offer and Acceptance Agreement. Once you have read, completed, and signed your agreement, you need to return it to Sunshine College of Management.

    Your Letter of Offer will explain all of the key information that you need to know before you accept the offer, including various payment methods. Once we receive your agreement and you have made your initial payment, you will receive a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) and a welcome email, that will have further details about your enrolment.

Additional entry requirements for
International Students:

Individuals entering the program as an
international student will be required to
meet the following additional entry
requirements:
1. Successful completion of Year 11
or the equivalent level of study;
and
2. Minimum English level of IELTS 6.0
or equivalent; and
3. Applicant must also be aged 18
years or above.

SCM Entry Requirements:
To ensure an appropriate learning opportunity,
participants would need to demonstrate a capacity to
undertake study at Certificate III level, this can be
demonstrated via the following:

● Achieve a minimum of 75%-85% in SCM’s
Determining Suitability Assessment (DSA).
● Applicants must also be aged 18 years or above.

For direct entry into Certificate III in Commercial
Cookery without additional support, the student must
achieve a minimum of 85% and 90% in SCM’s DSA.

For direct entry into Certificate III in Commercial
Cookery with additional support the student must
achieve a minimum of 75%-85% in SCM’s DSA.

Certificate IV in Kitchen Management

Additional entry requirements for International Students:
Individuals entering the program as an
international student will be required to
meet the following additional entry
requirements:
4. Successful completion of Year 11
or the equivalent level of study;
and
5. Minimum English level of IELTS 6.0
or equivalent; and
6. Applicant must also be aged 18
years or above.

SCM Entry Requirements:

demonstrated via the following:

must achieve a minimum of 85% and 90% in SCM’s DSA.

For direct entry into Certificate IV in Kitchen
Management with additional support the student must
achieve a minimum of 75%-85% in SCM’s DSA.

Diploma of Hospitality Management

Additional entry requirements for

Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management

Additional entry requirements for

or equivalent; and
3. Applicant must also be aged 18
years or above.

undertake study at Advanced Diploma level, this can be
demonstrated via the following:
● Achieve a minimum of 75%-85% in SCM’s
Determining Suitability Assessment (DSA).
● Applicants must also be aged 18 years or above.
For direct entry into Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management without additional support, the student
must achieve a minimum of 85% and 90% in SCM’s DSA.
For direct entry into Advanced Diploma of Hospitality
Management with additional support the student must
achieve a minimum of 75%-85% in SCM’s DSA.

Course Information Duration:

All enrolments have a maximum duration. It is expected that students complete their course within the expected duration as
specified within the letter of offer. Students who do not complete all units within the maximum timeframe will receive a Statement of
attainment listing the units they have completed at no additional cost. Students wishing to undertake units not completed in the
course duration period will be required to pay the unit re-enrolment fee. Enrolment begins from the course commencement date.
